Wine Sisterhood Gathering Recap + 8 Unforgettable Places in Napa

April 15, 2013

Food, Reviews, Travel

Last month I had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Napa Valley to run the Napa Valley Marathon and attended the Wine Sisterhood’s Second Annual Gathering. After finishing my third marathon in the breathtaking wine country I spent three blissful days with 50 fabulous wine-sisters learning, tasting and touring all things wine. We visited 8 unforgettable places in Napa you definitely want to visit.

The Gathering kicked off with roaring 20′s welcome reception & dinner at Raymond Vineyards. We were hosted by Jean-Charles Boisset and were treated to an extraordinary evening in the Red Room & Crystal Cellar.

Both Monday and Tuesday mornings began with informative interactive workshops featuring social media and wine. We learned about the latests phone apps, attended Bubble University with the lovely (and bubbly) Leslie Sbrocco; tested new video techniques; and practiced perfecting wine and cheese pairings with Cabot Cheese and Culture Magazine.

The afternoon and evenings were filled with tastings, tourings and incredible meals. Here’s a peek at the remaining 8 places:

Domaine Carneros

Palmaz Vineyards

Kitchen Door

Don Giovanni

The Hess Collection

I’m a native Californian and have never been to Napa. Crazy, huh? Hoping to change that soon and will definitely check out some of these places. Looks like you had a great time.
